Once washed, the nuts go to the sorting station. To facilitate this step, C2M offers different separation methods (branch, water, or air) that eliminate a first part of the waste. These methods can be combined to obtain the "cleanest" crop possible before sorting, either manually or optically.
Branch separators
Our branch separators (star or belt) remove branches before sorting. This also avoids blockages that branches can cause in your washing or sorting circuit.
Water separator
C2M also offers a water separator (or stone bin) that extracts all the stones collected by the pickup. This will allow you to limit the shocks that your fruits undergo and thus reduce your percentage of broken fruits. It is also less waste to remove at the time of sorting.
Air separator
The air separator, available in two powers, will allow you to remove "false" nuts, i.e. nuts that look healthy but are empty or "black" nuts. Small light waste such as small wood is also eliminated with this separator.

Optical sorters
The optical sorter will, after parameterization, recognize the waste thanks to their colour and eliminate them. The sorting is thus completely automated, only a last control can be useful at the exit of the optical sorter. It is a considerable time saving because the sorting stage is one of the most time consuming and error prone stages. It is also the final stage where the profitability of your harvest depends on the rate of remaining waste.
